Srinagar: Finally, the district hospital Pulwama this week got a power generator and made its operation theatre functional, much to the relief of patients who needed surgeries.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Mohammad Saleem told KNS that the new 125 KV automatic genset was installed in the hospital last week, and made the operation theatre fully functional.
We direly required it as we could not perform all the surgeries. In 24 hours, we have done 31 surgeries, Dr Saleem said.
KNS had last week reported about the lack of the genset in the hospital for over a month, which prompted the government to act and immediately get a new genset. (KNS)
