Decongestion Plan of Old Town Baramulla discussed

BARAMULLA: Decongestion Plan of Old town Baramulla and the progress registered in this regard was today discussed during a meeting of Officers at Baramulla. The meeting held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal comprehensively reviewed all the aspects of the beautification plan of Old town Baramulla.    

The meeting took stock of the progress of land identification process for the purpose of shifting the population of the Old town with directions to the Revenue Officers to speed up the process.   

Establishing Public Parks, shopping malls, commercial complexes and Passenger sheds in Old Baramulla town were other issues thoroughly deliberated upon besides strategy for road widening was also discussed in the meeting.    

The DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to take up plantation program and also to keep focus on sophisticated sanitation strategy.     

Meanwhile, Yasha Mudgal while impressing upon the officers to multiply their efforts to efficiently execute the beautification plan of Old town Baramulla highlighted the fact that all plans should be people oriented.      

 Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, SE R&B, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Officers of Revenue department and municipality attended the meeting.
