Pak troops hand youth over to India

Jammu: Pakistani troops have handed over Indian youth, who had crossed over to other side of Indo-Pak border, to Army authorities along LoC Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The 22-year-old Indian national Mohammed Rashid, son of Sattar Din of village Degwar Teruan of Poonch district, who had crossed over to Pakistan Controlled Kashmir (PcK) on June 12, 2015 was handed over by Pakistani troops to Indian authorities at Chakan-da-Bagh crossing point at LoC last evening,” Defence spokesman said.

He has been handed over to police for further questioning, he said.

Rashid, a contractual driver, had crossed over to Pakistan for the reasons still under investigation by the police, the spokesperson said, adding that his father had registered an FIR after he went missing.
