Animals feature in Er Rashid’s latest HR protests

SRINAGAR: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) led by Independent MLA from Langate, Er. Rashid, Thursday carried a unique protest to draw attention of world community towards unabated human rights violations in Kashmir.

Accompanied by hundreds of AIP activists, Er Rashid led a march from Zero Bridge in which animals including a cow, horse, dog and goat were paraded with placards hanging around their necks reading various slogans.

Addressing media persons during the protest rally, Rashid said that Kashmiris are being treated worst than animals and are being denied every fundamental right by the Indian State.

The protestors along with the herd managed to reach near Regal Chowk where a heavy contingent of police used force to disperse the protestors and detained Rashid along with his party workers and animals at Police Station Kothi-Bagh.
