Rs 17 lakh fake currency recovered

Jammu: As many as 15 persons were arrested while Rs 17 lakh fake Indian currency was seized so far this year in  Jammu. “Ten cases of fake currency have been registered in the state this year and 15 persons arrested, besides recovery of fake currency of more than 17 lakh was made,” Johny William, DIG Crime, who is also the Nodal Officer of the State Level Committee today said while briefing a meeting progress chaired by the Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police K Rajindera to discuss circulation of fake currency in the state. 

The DIG however, also gave a detailed review of the achievements made in curbing the fake currency circulation in the state.
