Don’t Anticipate Development on Kashmir, Says Dulat

Share

SRINAGAR: Moments before the Indian foreign minister, Sushma Swaraj, arrived in Pakistan on her official visit, the former spymaster expressed his apprehensions over any breakthrough on Kashmir.

AS Dulat—the ex-spymaster of India and the erstwhile Kashmir advisor of Atal Behari Vajpayee—said that though we must not expect any breakthrough on Kashmir at this juncture but we should take such steps in a positive way.

“I am sure that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit to Islamabad. Both the countries should forget the past and should take bold steps for the better relations,” he said.

“It can wide open the doors for an India-Pakistan dialogue. I am sure that the resumption of dialogue between the two countries will help to build trust.”
