Board exams for 11th class likely

SRINAGAR: In a first, the Directorate School Education, Kashmir is likely to introduce Board Examination for 11th standard students of valley from new session.

Class 11th students have been informed through a notification issued from the Education Directorate that they will also have to face Board exam, a matter which is under discussion with the Department of Education.

“There is an understanding that our students do not take Class 11th seriously,” the notification reads, “and it affects their performance in Class 12th and hurts their future prospectus.”

So, the notification said, it is as such notified for the information of all students that they must give utmost importance to Class 11 syllabus and do serious home study during the ensuing winter months.
