MKM stage protest in Srinagar

Srinagar: Muslim Khawateen Markaz (MKM) Monday staged a protest against ‘Indian occupation’ and blasphemous remarks made by Hindu Mahsaba president Kamlesh Tiwari  and demanded stringent punishment for the zealot for hurting the sentiments of the Muslims across globe.

The protest was led by MKM president Yasmeen Raja. Holding placards and banners denouncing the Indian Forces anti-Kashmiri actions in Kashmir, the protesters alleged that Kashmir is a police state where even kids are lodged in narrow cells of the jail. “Police have been resorting to random arrests. The lawlessness prevailing in Kashmir can be gauged from this fact that even minors are detained while the relatives of youth evading arrest are tortured and put in jails,” she said.

The female protesters also denounced the anti-Islamic remarks made by Hindu Mahasabha president Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow. “The RSS goons have been given free hand to hurt the sentiments of Muslims and not action is initiated against them. We demand stringent punishment for Tiwari for making blasphemous remarks,” the protesters demanded.
