SRINAGAR: The court of Adjudicating Officer Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar imposed a fine of Rs 3.20 lakh on various Food establishments which include Rs 1.50 Lakh on a Chhattisgarh based Company MS Divine Corpse Pvt. Ltd. for supplying Sub-standard nutritional items to various Aanganwari centers of District Srinagar.
The substandard goods were destroyed in presence of the constituted committee.
Meanwhile the department has started a drive against adulteration particularly in milk and warned of strict action under Food Safety & Standards Act against those found indulging in such malpractices.
