‘State police acting like private army of Sang Parivar’

SRINAGAR: Awami Itihad Party supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has alleged that administration has given a free hand to goons in Jammu province for harassing Muslims.

Condemning the Kalakot incident in which two Kashmir-bound vehicles were torched and damaged, Er Rasheed alleged that there seems to be Jungle Raaj in Jammu province and police is acting like private army of Sang Parivar.

“Mufti seems to have given control of Jammu in the hands of these goons, as a part of his agenda for alliance,” he said. “It is irony that how does life of bovine animals become more precious than that of humans.”

“Even if the allegation that the accused persons were carrying bovine animals in their vehicles were true, who has authorized them to burn their vehicles and attempt to kill them.”

He said the Jammu administration was offering full support to these goons and that is why these incidents don’t stop.”

Er Rasheed said while maintaining communal harmony is priority of majority community in the state but they can’t be mute spectators to atrocities. “Whatsoever is happening in Jammu may result in any ugly response from the other side anytime and responsibility will lie wholly and solely lie on Sang Parivar and the biased state administration.” He added.
