Vohra visits RTO for licence

JAMMU: Governor N.N. Vohra and Mrs. Usha Vohra, visited the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Jammu, today afternoon for getting their Driving Licenses renewed.

The License renewal procedures were completed by the concerned staff in very good time. The Governor complimented Mr. Ashwani K. Khajuria RTO (Jammu) for efficiently managing his office, which is being visited by nearly 3000 persons every day. The Governor suggested to the RTO and Mr. Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, Secretary Transport and Mr. Parvaiz Iqbal Khateeb, Transport Commissioner, to consider linking renewal of personal and commercial driving licenses with the accident record of the Licensee and if such record was adverse the legal provisions could be suitably amended for the competent authority to deny renewal of license.
