Handicrafts Museum to come up near exhibition ground

SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Mr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today convened a meeting of officers of Revenue, Handicrafts, Tourism and Education Departments, to review restoration of 10 Kanal of land under an old educational institute near exhibition ground.

Divisional Commissioner said that a Handicrafts Museum shall be developed at the said site while as the old educational structure will be restored and preserved as a heritage site. He said necessary repair works on this building shall be taken up after final plan is devised.

During the meeting, Div Com reviewed decisions taken in this regard in a meeting on 13th November. He discussed the plan and reviewed revenue records. He also instructed INTACH to give an estimate for restoration and repair of the building.
