Veersaren residents stage protest in city

Baramulla: The villagers from a South Kashmir hamlet Monday staged a protest in Srinagar Press Enclave demanding Govt. intervention.
Protesters accused PDA of hampering the construction work they want to undertake despite having the requisite permission.
The residents of Veersaren, Langanbal area of Pahalgam alleged that Pahalgam Development Authority was illegally demolishing their houses.The protesters seeking the intervention of Chief Minister into the matter.
The protesting residents showed legal documents of their residential houses and the court orders wherein the court has directed the police station concerned to lodge an FIR against PDA.
However, the residents alleged that despite the court directions, no FIR has been registered against the PDA.
When contacted SHO Pahalgam said that inquiry has been going on into the matter and if allegations proved correct, they will lodge an FIR against the PDA.
