Srinagar- Carrying forward his agenda of encouraging talented students, MLA Langate Er Rashid today announced establishing of STUDENT OF THE YEAR award for the top meritorious student for district Kupwara and said that the award carrying a cash prize of rupees one lakh will be given every year to the student who tops matriculation examination in district Kupwara irrespective of the fact that whether student studies in a government or a private school.
He added while addressing public gathering at Laderwan Kupwara, that money for the award will be raised through donations for the Joint Effort Trust (JET). He however said that this award will be in addition to the awards already declared for meritorious students of Langate Constituency.
Speaking on the occasion Er Rashid said that while Sang Parivaars dashing defeat is a setback to Modis anti-Muslim policies but it will have no impact on sufferings of Kashmiris. Er Rashid said, there is nothing for Kashmiris to celebrate in Nitish Kumars victory nor anyone should welcome the outcome of these results as not only Nitish Kumar has been a part of NDA in the past but when it comes to Kashmir, Indian politicians whosoever are one.
Even those including people like Asaduddin Owaisi, who is truly representing minorities in India do also think ten times before speaking a single word on Kashmir and for Kashmiris.
It is ironic when some Kashmiri leaders having a vested interest, do praise former PM Vajpayee without knowing that Vajpayee never accepted Kashmir as an issue except playing with the words. For every Indian leader J&K is a internal part of India and the problem here is nothing beyond a law and order issue.
