Dar-ul-Khair constructs 7 houses at Batamaloo

Srinagar: Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar, which on the recommendations of the local Masjid committees has already handed over dozens of houses to the September 2014 flood-affected people under its ‘Akh Akis’ initiative, is constructing seven more houses for the flood-victims at Batamaloo, Srinagar.
A spokesman said that an engineering team of the Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil Monday visited Batamaloo and took stock of the undergoing construction works there.
The contractors involved in the construction of these houses expressed regret that due to curfews, undeclared curfews and restrictions on the movement of the people, there had been interruptions and delay in the construction works but promised that the construction would be completed soon and houses handed over to the flood victims.
Meanwhile, Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil has again appealed to the people of Kashmir to continue their contributions toward the rehabilitation of the flood victims and help make “Akh Akis”initiative ac success, so that, besides the flood victims of of Srinagar, the Akh Akis initiative reaches the flood victims of other districts as well and helps in their rehabilitation
