SRINAGAR: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, said that when he went to seek blessings from his mother last year on his birthday he was paid Rs five thousand for relief to flood hit Kashmiris.
I was disturbed due to situation which had developed in Kashmir due to floods, PM Modi who is addressing a rally at SK Cricket Stadium here said.
A Chinese delegation had come to my home state of Gujarat to celebrate my birthday but I did not accept it as Kashmir was under waters, he said. I went to seek blessings from my mother who gave me Rs 5000 for flood hit Kashmiris.
This is because of our traditions, he said.
