Dooru: Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra Wednesday accused the Congress of being equally responsible for the misdeeds of the present coalition regime.
Congress is equal partner with NC in promoting misgovernance, anarchy, corruption and repression during the past six years of the disastrous rule, Karra said while addressing election rallies here to enlist support for the PDP candidate Farooq Indrabi.
He said the people have decided to teach both these parties a befitting lesson in upcoming elections as both NC and Congress are responsible for pushing the State into such a mess which would take any capable administrator years to set right.
He said the worst-ever electoral rigging engineered by the NC in 1987 elections is still haunting its leaders. NC leaders know the massive rigging of 1987 elections by them led to a trail of death and destruction in the State and the people will never forgive them for every drop of blood that was shed in the State because of the political highhandedness of the party, he said and added that NC is the only party in the State that has thrived on political uncertainties and economic deprivation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
