Police Seizes Stolen Cars In Shopian

SRINAGAR: Shopian police arrested two car lifters and seized two stolen car from their possession in Heerpora area of Shopian District Wednesday morning.

According to reports, police party Heerpora led by SHO established a naka at Heerpora, Shopian. During the naka checking, police party intercepted two suspicious cars driven by Haroon Rashid son of Abdul Rashid and Irfan Ahmad son of Zakir Chowdary both residents of Rajouri.

During preliminary investigation, it surfaced that the duo had stolen these cars from Pulwama and Kathua districts. Both the car lifters were arrested and the cars have been seized.

Shopian police has registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been started. More recoveries are being expected.
