Srinagar: J&K Bank today concluded first residential training programme for youth belonging to far flung areas like Daver Gurez and Tulail at its Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) in Bandipora.
The Banks President and Nodal Officer JKB RSETIs Muhammad Amin Mir presided over the valedictory function in presence of Vice-President and Administrative Officer JKBRSETIs A K Pandita, Zonal Head Kashmir (North) Muhammad Sultan Kaboo, and other seniors officers.
Impressed with the performance of RSETI Bandipora as per the prescribed guidelines, Muhammad Amin Mir congratulated the Director RSETI Bandipora, Mir Parvez Ahmad for conducting the first residential training programme.
He urged the trainees and other participants to take full advantage of the residential facility, get trained in the requisite skill and leave the institute as Job providers.
Speaking on the occasion A K Pandita said that the bank has always been a pioneer in upliftment of downtrodden, poor unemployed youth as per RSETI mission. He expressed his satisfaction over the working of RSETI Bandipore.
M S Kaboo also appreciated the Director and staff of RSETI Bandipora for motivating the candidates to participate in the residential program despite of various odd factors. Earlier, Director RSETI Bandipora highlighted the performance of the RSETI Bandipora during the current financial year which was highly applauded by the participants.
Certificates were also distributed among first batch of trainees who successfully participated in Mehandi Art cum Beauty Parlour Management course.
Meanwhile, the banks FLCC centre Baramulla conducted an awareness programme at Rural Self Employment and Training Institute (RSETI) Sopore for budding entrepreneurs who received their trainings at the institute. Two entrepreneur-turned-businessmen from Sopore also were present at the camp.
Director RSETI Sopore talked at length about entrepreneurship and its importance to our economic development.
He said, The main qualities of entrepreneurs are to love their work, learn constantly, consistently solve problems, remain focused and be resilient.
The two guest businessmen shared their experiences and success stories with the audience and impressed upon them to develop the traits of true entrepreneurship to script their own success stories.
Facilitator FLCC Baramulla and LDM Baramulla also spoke on the occasion.
Besides Block Level Bankers Committee Meetings for Sopore and Zaingeer conducted by Lead Bank Office Baramulla in RSETI Sopore, the FLCC Baramulla organised many awareness camps in Block Pattan, Singhpora, Kunzer, Tangmarg and Sweeper Colony Noor-bagh Baramulla also.
Speaking at the Noor-bagh camp, Facilitator FLCC Baramulla explained Prime Ministers Jhan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) in detail to the audience.
He said, PMJDY scheme provides universal access to banking facilities, basic banking accounts with overdraft facility upto Rs.5000/-, issuance of Rupay Debit cards with inbuilt accident insurance cover of Rs.100000/ and other financial literacy programmes.
Head B.U T P Baramulla also spoke on the occasion. He informed the audience about various saving products of the Bank like Saving, Recurring, Mehandi deposit scheme, Child care deposit scheme, Depositors pension scheme, Cash certificate and fixed saving plan.
Further, FLCC Baramulla participated in industrial motivation seminar that was organized by Micro-Small-Medium enterprise (MSME) Development Institute (J&K) in Govt. Degree College Baramulla.
Facilitator FLCC centre Baramulla spoke about the role of financial institutions to provide self employment through schemes sponsored by the central and state government in addition to the direct financing for self employment ventures for income generation units.
He also deliberated upon Kisan Credit Card scheme, Education loan scheme and various loan products of banks for awareness of the audience.
Director MSME talked about MSME Development Institute, its objectives which include industrial motivation campaigns, entrepreneurship development training and Skill development training.
