3 killed in accidents

Ganderbal:  A girl died on spot when she slipped from the roof of her house in Gund area of Kangan today.

Police sources said that 24 years old Zamrooda Banoo daughter of Assadullah Shiekh slipped to death when she was placing clothes over the roof.

Meanwhile, a woodcutter lost his life after he was hit by a branch of a tree in Hilpati Gund Kangan forest. Police identified the deceased as Abdul Hamid Koshi a resident of Gund Kangan.

In South Kashmir’s Pulama town a pedestrian Muhammad Qasim Rather of Arigam died on spot when he was hit by a speedy Alto (DL5C-5694) at Gabarpora Pulwama.

Police seized the vehicle and arrested the erring driver. “We registered a case vide FIR number 296/2013 and have started investigation,” a police official said.
