Manhunt launched to nab the assailant

Srinagar: Batamaloo police has started a hunt to track down the assailant who allegedly made an attempt on the life of a street vendor on Tuesday.    

Police sources said that a resident from Nowgam bypass  attacked a vendor Mohammad Latif Khan son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Bagiyas Chattabal with an iron rod.    

“The assailant Himayoun Dar son of Mohammad Ashraf Dar hit Mohammad Latif with iron rod and he was seriously injured. He was rushed to hospital where he received at least 25 stitches in his head,” one of the vendors said.     

Police had registered a case against the assailant hunt has been launched to nab him.
