Truck driver found dead in Awantipora

Srinagar: Anantnag police recovered a body of Hilal Ahmad Singroo son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Surteng, Rainawari, Srinagar from the rear side of Hotel Wood Stock Park, Pahalgam. Pahalgam Police has inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC to ascertain the cause of the death. The body has been shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for Post Mortem.

Meanwhile a truck driver was found dead in his truck parked on the National Highway in Awantipora.A truck driver Rajpal Singh resident of Rishikesh, Dehradun, Uttrakhand was found dead in his truck bearing registration number UA08H/9583 parked near Sharma Dhaba, Jawbara, Awantipora. Awantipora police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.

4 Injured in road mishaps

Four persons including a minor boy was injured in different road accidents in the Valley. An Alto Car bearing registration number JK05/3331 rammed into an electric pole near Chimpaz Mohalla, Bandipora, in the jurisdiction of police station Ajas, resulting in injuries to two passengers Ambir Lone resident of Kelshai Gurez at present Nathpora, Bandipora and Abdul Rashid Lone resident of Kelshi Gurez. Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard. A Maruti Car bearing registration number JK13/5072 collided with a Tipper bearing registration JK01E/3925 at Chattergam, Budgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Chadoora, resulting in injuries to the Maruti car driver Mohammad Yousuf Wagay resident of Mirgund Pulwama and a 3 years old child Saqib Gulzar son of Ghulam Nabi Parray resident of Pakeharpora. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

A Santro car bearing registration number Jk01P/8822 hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01J/3464 at Babadem, Srinagar, in the jurisdiction of police post Ban Mohalla, resulting in injuries to the Motorcyclist Shafat Ahmad Jan resident of Zakoora. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
