SRINAGAR: Chairmain Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani, while terming Pakistan as benefactor of the Kashmiri people and supporter of the ongoing freedom movement today urged Pakistani electorate to elect honest and sincere people in the forthcoming elections.

In a message to Pakistani people, Geelani advised them to elect honest people in forthcoming elections who are ‘not involved in corruption’. He asked them to ensure that those candidates are elected who are able  to safeguard the fundamental purpose of Pakistan.

In a telephonic address to a gathering in Lahore held in memory of late  Jam’at-e-Islami leader, Quazi Hussain Ahmad, Geelani said, “I feel it (demise of Qazi Hussain) is an irreparable loss not only for Pakistan but for us Kashmiris as he was a great patron and sympathiser of freedom movement,” said Geelani.

Referring to Pakistan’s composite culture Syed Ali Geelani said that no other ideology other than Islam can save Pakistan.
