Srinagar, Sept 26 Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, called on Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, here this evening and briefed him about various aspects of the growth and development of the State. He also briefed Rashtrapatiji regarding the overall security situation.
The Governor, who has been recently appointed by the President as Chancellor of the Central University of Jammu, briefly informed Mr. Mukherjee about the advancement of Higher Education in the State.
The Governor welcomed the President on behalf of the Government and the people of the State and thanked him for visiting J&K and for honouring the University of Kashmir by addressing its 18th Convocation.
